COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Hands-on visual merchandising and visual perspective through internet, print and branding. Promotions for community productions, and senior showcase and market.

COURSE OBJECTIVES: 

After successful completion of this course a student should be able to do the following: 

a)         To obtain working knowledge about methods of planning, organizing, executing and evaluating formal production events.

b)         To develop skills in working as part of a team, delegating and accepting responsibility, as well as following up and objectively evaluate completed work. 

c)         Design of an event to promote an organizational or fashion event, as a service-learning project 

d)         Exploration of display focal points, branding, and photography in advertisements, catalogs, and Websites of international fashion companies 

e)         Development and installation of displays in retail windows and interiors that include background lighting, styling, and visual (merchandise and mannequin) placement 

f)          Development of Social Media for Promotion. 

g)         To gain experience in photo and video shoots 

During the semester we were assigned groups to work with a designer to help merchandise their collection. Below I have attached pictures and videos of our final work.
