COURSE DESCRIPTION:
MFD 304 Forecasting and Branding
This course will provide students with tools for trend forecasting consumer analytics, using resources and visual imagery.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of this course, students will:

Define the role of forecasting in the textile and apparel industries

Analyze current fashion within a theoretical framework

Understand and identify past and future trends

Identify and understand societal changes and the impact on fashion trends and branding

Comprehend the breadth and depth of the forecasting process

Follow the forecast continually to determine reasons for significant deviations from expectations.
