COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Through hands-on experiments, collaborative learning and individual projects, students will learn the language and process for design thinking, collection development, a solid foundation in the study of contemporary designers, and demonstrate:
· Develop an apparel market collection from concept to consumer.
· Understand the technology of and application of a Body Scanner.
· Use appropriate vocabulary to articulate design ideas and concepts to a client.
· Understand and articulate the design processes used by various contemporary designers.
· Tangible realizations of their ideas using appropriate tools, applications and techniques, such as drawing, rendering, collage, and digital imaging:

Consider a variety of sources as inspiration for designing and compile inspirational files.

Illustrate the exaggerated proportions of the fashion figure.

Develop a personal fashion sketching style with or without croquis.

Create a fashion collection.

Produce flats with design criteria identified for each look.
